Wine
The Winelands of the Western Cape in South Africa are a huge draw for national and international visitors alike,
for the wine tasting certainly, but also for the spectacular beauty, rich history and gastronomic excellence.
Committed to providing our visitors with the latest news and insights, we are constantly visiting wine estates and trying
wines, to ensure we can share with you some of our favourites. Each month we feature a wine or wine estate that we love - it's a tough job but someone has to do it.
Our Favourite Wine of the month
2007 Hope Marguerite, Chenin Blanc, Beaumont Wines
Summer and the sun have arrived back in Cape Town, so with picnics and lunches by the pool now in order there is nothing better than a glass of cold Chenin Blanc and when we think Chenin then in our view there is only one place to go, to the Beaumont family winery in Botrivier. Top young wine maker Sebastian Beaumont is passionate about his Chenin and judging by the awards this wine is receiving we are not the only ones who love it.
