Wine
The Winelands of the Western Cape in South Africa are a huge draw for national and international visitors alike,
for the wine tasting certainly, but also for the spectacular beauty, rich history and gastronomic excellence.
Committed to providing our visitors with the latest news and insights, we are constantly visiting wine estates and trying
wines, to ensure we can share with you some of our favourites. Each month we feature a wine or wine estate that we love - it's a tough job but someone has to do it.
Our Favourite Wine of the month
March 2009
This month we ask our friend Kevin Kidson, Managing Director of South Africa's finest wine related web portal www.wine.co.za to share with us his particular favourite of the moment. With his passion for something with a bit of sparkle, it is little surprise that he plumped for the "bubbly"
"My sparkling wine will almost always be Cap Classique. And when I think Cap Classique, the top wines that come to mind are the Graham Becks made by Pieter ' bubbles' Ferriera, the Villiera's made by Jeff Grier (especially the Brut Rosé which is a regular favourite!) and the TJ's from The House of Krone (Twee Jonge Gezellen) made by Nicky Krone. Each of these stables have various Cap Classiques to fit all tastes"
