We share our secrets with you - constantly updating the favorite things we love doing in our city of Cape Town and as we travel across South Africa.

Wine

The Winelands of the Western Cape in South Africa are a huge draw for national and international visitors alike, for the wine tasting certainly, but also for the spectacular beauty, rich history and gastronomic excellence.

Committed to providing our visitors with the latest news and insights, we are constantly visiting wine estates and trying wines, to ensure we can share with you some of our favourites. Each month we feature a wine or wine estate that we love - it's a tough job but someone has to do it.

Our Favourite Wine of the month

February 2009: Rickety Bridge 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon.

This wine is found in many peoples wine collections in the Cape. It really is excellent and the Rickety Bridge estate in Franschhoek is a must visit whilst in the area. An historic estate, nestled at the foot of the mountains the "wine tasting by horseback tour" usually stops here for lunch. Well worth watching people trying to remount after a liquid lunch!
